How do I care for my succulents? +
Succulents thrive with plenty of light and time to dry out between drinks. Here’s how to keep your arrangement growing.
Do
- Choose a sunny spot, whether you grow them indoors or outside.
- Wait until they dry out before watering again. Depending on the location, that may mean watering every one to two weeks.
- Use sharp scissors to trim dried or brown foliage and tips.
- Propagate new plants from stem cuttings taken between leaf nodes or a whole rosette, using cactus potting mix.
Don’t
- Keep them somewhere without daylight.
- Water too often. A dark center and soft, dropping leaves can be signs of excess water.
- Ignore stretched, leggy growth; your plant may need more sunlight.
- Let the container get overcrowded. Take cuttings or move the plants into a bigger pot with a freely draining cactus mix.
What about air plants? +
Air plants (Tillandsias) absorb water through their leaves and grow without soil. That makes them a natural fit for glass displays, wreaths, magnets, and living jewelry.
Do
- Give them plenty of indirect daylight.
- Mist all of the plant three to five times weekly, or give it a 20-minute soak once per week.
- Trim brown or dried foliage and tips using sharp scissors.
Don’t
- Display them in a spot without daylight.
- Allow them to get overly dry. Brown, crispy tips can mean they need more water.
- Soak excessively. A black, mushy center can indicate too much water.
Can I choose the colors and plants? +
Yes, share your preferred colors, vessel, and plant varieties when you inquire. Each arrangement is custom made, and requests depend on availability.
Do you offer local delivery? +
Local delivery and pickup are available. Delivery is $15 and is scheduled based on availability. A few days’ notice is preferred. Succulent arrangements cannot be shipped.
